AtlaSahel will participate in the 34th Italian Geography Congress (Turin, 3–5 September 2025) by taking part in two sessions: International Cooperation in the Face of the Crisis of Multilateralism: The Contribution of Decolonial Criticism (proposed by Valerio Bini, Valentina Albanese and Paola Minoia) and Cities and War (proposed by Francesco Chiodelli and Andrea Pase). In particular, the first session will feature a presentation entitled: Decolonising international cooperation. From theory to practice (Valerio Bini and Andrea Pase). The second session will feature the following presentations: Capital Cities and the Desert. Nomadic Wars in the Sahel (Andrea Pase), Geographies of Urban Conflicts, Participatory Cartography of Care: Spatial Analysis of Damage in the City of Khartoum (Sudan) through Satellite Images and Open Source Sources (Maria Petriccione and Ludovica Crocitto), The City beyond the City: Mapping Khartoum to Cairo through the Eyes of Women (Mariasole Pepa) and Mosul: From Shards to Mosaic (Federico Gianoli).
