The Geography Library of the University of Padua has a vast and significant collection of volumes dedicated to the Sahel and, in particular, to the Lake Chad region. Two presentations have been organised on these topics: the first is entitled “Sahel. A territory ‘on the edge” – environment, conflicts, society’ and the second “Lake Chad.
