Rémi Dewière

Lecturer in medieval and modern history at the University of Padua. His research focuses on the relationship between the environment, mobility, writing and politics in the Lake Chad basin. In particular, he works on the Borno sultanate (north-east Nigeria) and its relations with the societies and states of the Sahel, Sahara and the Mediterranean world.
